National Cargo Products & Services Update
We're simplifying our domestic products
From 12 October 2026, our national cargo offer will be simplified from four products to two, making it simpler to choose the right product for your shipment: Fly it fast and Fly it for you. The change reflects what our customers have told us matters most; a simple, reliable cargo offer that makes it easier to choose the right service for each shipment.
Fly It firm and Fly It will no longer be available from this date.
Fly it fast
Our premium domestic cargo service for eligible shipments where timing matters. Fly it fast offers:
- Later lodgement closer to departure
- Earlier collection at destination
- Faster terminal processing
- Greater convenience for time-sensitive freight
Availability depends on factors such as cargo type, customer type, aircraft, departure port, security screening requirements and operational conditions.
Fly it for you
Our standard National cargo service for freight moving within standard or commodity-specific lodgement, collection and handling requirements.
Fly It for you is not available for general cargo shipped by customers without a cargo account. These shipments must be booked using Fly it fast.
Fly It for you is designed for:
- General cargo (cargo account holder only)
- Freight that isn't time sensitive
- Cargo requiring additional documentation or compliance checks
- Cargo requiring security screening
- Specialist or regulated freight requiring commodity-specific handling
Applicable lodgement and collection requirements vary depending on the type of cargo being transported. Check the requirements for your shipment before arriving at the cargo terminal.
When is it happening?
The change will take effect from 12 October 2026.
From 12 October 2026
- New bookings for travel on or after 12 October 2026 will need to be made using either Fly It Fast or Fly It for You. Fly It Firm and Fly It will no longer be available for sale.
- Bookings made from 12 October 2026 for travel before this date can continue to be booked using the existing products: Fly It Fast, Fly It Firm, Fly It, or Fly It for You.
- If an existing booking is later changed to travel on or after 12 October 2026, it will need to be updated to either Fly It Fast or Fly It for You.
- In this scenario, the rate agreed at the time of the original booking will be honoured, for 14 days after 12 October 2026.
What isn't changing?
- Our national cargo network
- Our self-service booking portal
- The reach, speed and reliability you rely on from our national air freight network
You'll continue to sign in and book freight the same way you do today, with fewer products to choose from.
