COVID-19 Related Changes

The New Zealand government has updated the Alert Levels system within New Zealand and will move to the COVID-19 Protection Framework on 3 December 2021. Air New Zealand has reviewed its restrictions to ensure it is able to continue to provide essential cargo handling services and remain a link in the New Zealand supply chain. Air New Zealand will protect its staff and customers by limiting people on site in accordance with the Protection Framework and will prioritise essential goods.

As of the 15th December 2021 there will no longer be any restrictions on who can send or receive cargo within New Zealand Ports provided they meet the following requirements:

ALL Customers, Contractors and PCBU's must adhere to the directives issued by the New Zealand Government, Air New Zealand Cargo and their local Airport. This includes but is not limited to protective measures such as wearing masks , social distancing, contract tracing, vaccine passports and covid testing etc.  Should any of these requirements not be adhered to, persons may be denied access or removed from site.

Despite the move to the Protection Framework on 3 December, the current restrictions will remain in place until the 15th of December 2021 (ie AKL at the equivalent of Alert Level 3 & the rest of New Zealand at Alert Level 2)
